Bears Bungalow
Your guest guide โ sleeps 8, dog approved, and full of hidden bears.
Welcome to the Bungalow
We're so glad you made it up the mountain. ๐ป
Bears Bungalow is our happy place โ a cozy cabin tucked in the pines of Pinetop where the air smells like cedar, the deck is always calling your name, and there's something brewing at the coffee bar.
We've stocked everything we'd want if we were staying here ourselves. Blankets are in the cabinet under the projector, the cocoa bar is ready, and the bearsโฆ well, they're everywhere. You'll see.
Make yourself completely at home โ that's exactly what this place is for.

How Things Work
Thermostat
It lives in the hallway. Anywhere between 65โ72ยฐF keeps the cabin happy. Please don't go below 60ยฐF in winter โ the pipes get dramatic. If you're heading out for the day, nudge it down a few degrees.
Fireplace
Flip the switch to the right of the hearth and it lights on its own โ no wood, no kindling, no smoke alarm drama. Keep blankets, shoes, and curious dogs a few feet back, and switch it off before bed or before you head out.
Kitchen
Coffee, tea & cocoa bar
Help yourself to the coffee, tea, and hot cocoa station. Mugs are in the cabinet above the coffee maker.
Small appliances
- Crockpot โ great for slow-cooking after a hike.
- Air fryer โ under the microwave in the laundry room.
- Standard coffee maker and kettle.
Fridge & cabinets
Condiments, spices, and dry goods in the cabinets are free to use. Anything left in the fridge or pantry is fair game unless it's clearly marked.
Entertainment
Projector
- The remotes are right next to the projector.
- Press Power on the projector remote and give it a minute to warm up.
- Pull the screen down gently โ it's happier that way.
- Turn on the sound bar and set the source to BLUETOOTH.
- Use the streaming remote to pick an app โ sign in with your own account, then sign out before you leave.
- Lower the shades on the deck side for the full movie-night effect.
Games & media
- Board games and puzzles โ look in the cabinet under the projector.
- Books for all ages โ grab one and curl up by the fire.
- Frisbee golf โ the course is right here on property, and the discs are in the storage bin on the patio.
- ๐ฎ Nintendo Classic with built-in games.
- ๐ฎ Super Nintendo Classic with built-in games.
BBQ
Startup
- Open the lid before lighting โ always.
- Open the propane tank valve (turn counterclockwise).
- Turn burner knobs to the light/ignite position and press the igniter.
- Once lit, close the lid and let it preheat for 10โ15 minutes on high.
- Scrape the grates clean with the grill brush before cooking.
Shutdown
- Turn all burner knobs to Off.
- Close the propane tank valve (turn clockwise until snug).
- Let the grill cool completely with the lid closed.
- Brush the grill clean so it's ready for the next cook.
- Cover the grill when it's cool.
Safety tip: never use the grill under the deck roof or close to the house. Keep kids and dogs at a safe distance.
House Rules
- Quiet hours are 10pmโ6am Sunday through Thursday, and 11pmโ6am Friday and Saturday.
- Shoes off inside if you can; the floors thank you.
- No smoking or vaping inside OR outside the cabin, decks included.
- No pets on the leather couches โ blankets are in the basket for their spots.
- Don't put anything near the baseboard heaters โ they get hot.
- Eight guests max overnight โ that's the whole crew the cabin sleeps.
- Treat the place like your favorite aunt's house and you're golden.
๐ป The Bears Bungalow Bear Scavenger Hunt
Welcome to the most important mission of your stay.

- Bedding doesn't count โ but accent pillows do!
- Look up, look down, and look all around ๐ป
- Bears are hiding in every room โ don't skip a single one.
The prize
Think you found them all? Text us your total count. Get it right and we'll send you a $25 gift card to a local Pinetop business! ๐

- Don't forget to look up in the loft.
- The bathroom bears are sneaky.
